We know the requirements from the classification societies, and ensure that you get what you need to document the job correctly and complete the classification on the first try.
Planning and coordination
We plan classification in collaboration with the customer and classification society, ensuring that all inspection points are covered within the dock period.
Class certified inspection
We open relevant systems and structures for class certified inspection, and take necessary measures to meet approval requirements.
Measurements and testing
We perform thickness measurements, pressure tests, function tests and mechanical checks of equipment according to class rules.
Propulsion system classification
We assist with inspection and documentation of propulsion systems, including shafts, thrusters, rudders and other underwater equipment.
Documentation
We deliver complete documentation in the correct format for submission to the classification society, including measurement reports and inspection data.

We follow the certification authorities for efficient approval with a focus on cost-effectiveness. The classification work includes engine, propulsion systems, hull, tanks, surface, propeller and rudder system. We carry out the work at our own shipyard or quay, and our professionals also travel to customers – 24/7-365 worldwide.

The shipyard at Buøy in Stavanger consists of workshop halls, dry docks and quay facilities.
GMC has its own teams in welding, mechanical work, surface and piping. This enables us to deliver in a coordinated and efficient manner – without waiting for external teams.
