Expertise and service in dry dock
We cover the entire repair needs during docking, from mechanical to surface and piping. All work is reported and documented according to customer and class requirements.
Hull and propulsion
We perform classification, inspection and maintenance of propeller, shaft, rudder and hull components below the waterline. Our skilled workers work according to current requirements from both class and shipping company, ensuring that the vessel receives optimal operational reliability and performance. With long experience and modern equipment, we deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions for hull and propulsion.
Tank work and pipes
We carry out cleaning, repair and inspection of tanks and piping systems, including valves and associated components.
Valves and bushings
We overhaul, test and replace seacocks, seawater inlets and other penetrations, with documentation in line with classification society requirements.
Surface treatment
We offer high-pressure washing, sandblasting and application of approved paint systems and special coatings for maritime use.
Deck maintenance
We perform maintenance and repairs on deck equipment, cranes, hatches and associated systems.

We follow the certification authorities for efficient approval with a focus on cost-effectiveness. The classification work includes engine, propulsion systems, hull, tanks, surface, propeller and rudder system. We carry out the work at our own shipyard or quay, and our professionals also travel to customers – 24/7-365 worldwide.

The shipyard at Buøy in Stavanger consists of workshop halls, dry docks and quay facilities.
GMC has its own teams in welding, mechanical work, surface and piping. This enables us to deliver in a coordinated and efficient manner – without waiting for external teams.
