– We are very proud that Saipem once again chooses GMC as their agent in Norway, and that they continue to use Mekjarvik as their home port. The whole town can see when the enormous “Saipem 7000” is docked at Mekjarvik, says CEO Thomas A. Vang of GMC.
"Saipem 7000" is one of the world's largest semi-submersible crane and pipe-laying vessels. The crane ship can lift up to 14,000 tons and lay cables at depths of 2,000 meters.
“The continued trust from a global player like Saipem recognizes our work and confirms our ability to deliver effective services. Together with all our partners, this is an important contributor to the strengthening of our services in Mekjarvik,” says Pål Erik Johannessen, CEO of GMC Marine Partner.
