GMC has entered into a partnership with Cathelco, a UK-based supplier of maritime protection technology with global deliveries within biofouling, corrosion and on-board water systems.

The collaboration strengthens GMC's offering of documented solutions that contribute to more efficient and sustainable vessel operations.

Through the collaboration, GMC will offer delivery and installation of advanced antifouling technology, adapted to both newbuildings and existing vessels.

The solutions contribute to reduced fuel consumption, lower maintenance costs and improved operational performance over time.

An important part of the collaboration is that the technology can be installed during scheduled dockside stays, without the need for additional downtime. This makes the solutions attractive to shipping companies and operators who want to combine environmental & energy efficiency with routine maintenance.

Kjetil Sirevåg, Chief Commercial Officer at GMC
"The collaboration with Cathelco strengthens GMC's position as a supplier of technical solutions that provide both commercial and environmental benefits for our customers. Together we combine internationally recognized technology with local implementation capabilities, " says Kjetil T. Sirevåg, Chief Commercial Officer at GMC.

Cathelco is part of Evac Group, a Finnish-based industrial group with global operations in maritime system solutions. Together, the companies represent a solid combination of technological expertise and operational experience.

The collaboration is now operational, and GMC can offer Cathelco's solutions as an integrated part of its services within dock, maintenance and upgrade projects.
