With this, they strengthen their collaboration on the digital service for the maritime sector. The platform will, among other things, streamline project processes for shipping companies, the company writes in a press release.

– Digitalization is at the core of GMC’s improvement efforts. By entering into this partnership, we are leveraging technology to improve our own processes and at the same time increase value for our customers – both in terms of results and, not least, in terms of interaction and relationships when projects are underway. We strongly believe that Marine Manager will help create added value for our customers, says GMC CEO, Thomas A. Vang.

Marine Manager is a technology platform with roots in the maritime industry. In the press release, they write that the solution streamlines projects for shipping companies and makes it easier to receive fast and efficient service, maintenance and repair.

Digitalization of the maritime industry

– As we now focus on digitalization, it is very important that we choose innovative solutions and solid partnerships. The digitalization journey we are now on will result in more value for customers. Here we are talking about both cost efficiency, time savings and, not least, increased quality in deliveries. In this way, we shape the service sector for the maritime industry, says Thomas A. Vang, CEO of GMC.

By adopting new technology, such as artificial intelligence, the group is now undergoing a digitalization of a number of manual processes. The press release states that together with Torstein Rasmussen, CEO of Marine Manager, they are now launching pilot projects across GMC.

– GMC is a leading player in the maritime industry, with a wide range of services, and they are investing for the future. We have learned how employees at GMC quickly adopt new technology to work smarter together with their customers and partners – with good results already, says Torstein Rasmussen, CEO of Marine Manager.

– The digital journey we have embarked on will be felt both internally, but our partners and customers will also notice improvements, says Thomas A. Vang.

CEO of Marine Manager, Torstein Rasmussen, is satisfied with the choice of partner.

An effective "ocean pitstop"

GMC aims to strengthen its existing "ocean pit stop" in Rogaland. The concept is that vessels will be able to dock quickly for efficient service, maintenance and repair.

– With Marine Manager as a strategic partner, we are using innovative, top-shelf technology, which makes us at GMC even better and increases customer value through a smoother stay for the vessels – and better quality throughout the entire process, says Thomas A. Vang.
