Welcome, Thomas
We welcome Thomas A. Vang as CEO. Thomas comes from a position as CEO of NorSea Logistics AS, which consists of nine bases and companies across the country.
From September 1st, Thomas can be found at the office in Mekjarvik, but already on day three he was wearing protective equipment and ready to leave.
– I will use the first time to get to know GMC and the people who work here, says Vang.
Originally from Bodø, but with a long career in both Oslo and Stavanger. The man with roots from the north appreciates a good atmosphere, humor, honest feedback – and anything that can be driven.
Growth goals
Furthermore, Vang is responsible for ensuring that the group and the companies achieve their goals.
– I strongly believe that we will create value for the owners and us who are employees of GMC, says Thomas.
The GMC Group aims to grow, including in new and green areas. The strategy to achieve this requires a willingness to invest – in people, equipment, technology and facilities.
– The process of bringing Thomas to the team has taken us over a year, and we are happy that he is now finally in place, says Gunnar Magne Christensen Jr.
