Aasta Hansten Spar and Hywind
Among our many reference assignments, Marine Partner has been responsible for the removal of sea protection on Equinor's Aasta Hansteen chassis, which was transported from Korea to Høylandsbygd on Dockwise Vanguard.

An example is the removal of sea protection on Equinor’s Aasta Hansteen chassis, which was transported from Korea to Høylandsbygd with Dockwise Vanguard. The project required careful coordination and precision to ensure the safe transport and handling of the complex offshore equipment.
Additionally, our contract for the Aasta Hansteen SPAR Inshore mooring in Digernessundet south of Stord included several critical elements: pre-installation, hook-up and tensioning, as well as retrieval. This demonstrates GMC’s expertise in all phases of offshore mooring, from preparation to completion.
During Equinor’s Hywind pilot project, GMC provided mooring for three North Sea barges that served as deep-water quays for the installation of five wind turbines. The turbines protrude 70 meters below the sea surface, and the project was carried out with great precision and safety.
Both projects were delivered in close collaboration with contractors and operator Equinor, and demonstrate GMC Marine Partners' strong expertise in offshore mooring, transportation and handling of complex marine installations.
